Zest sponsor Youth Football Club
Bray FC representing a small - no, incredibly small - village located in the heart of the South East counties
Posted 8th March 2013
In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Bray like this:
BRAY, a village, a parish, a subdistrict and a hundred in Cookham district, Berks. The village stands on the Thames, near the Great Western railway, 1½ mile S by E of Maidenhead; and has a post office under Maidenhead. It occupies the site of the Roman station Bibracte; and is now within the liberty of Windsor forest. The parish consists of the four divisions of Bray, Maidenhead, Touchen, and Water-Oakley; and contains part of the borough of Maidenhead. Acres, 9,102. Real property, £26,694. ...
Famous also for the 17th century poem ‘The vicar of Bray’ and more recently Chef Heston Blumenthal’s infamously unusual cuisine at ‘The Fat Duck’.
So not much to shout about until now; Bray FC under 14 youth football team of only 19 strong coached by a Mr Andrew Hull.
Zest sponsor Bray FC for many reasons
They are passionate, enthusiastic, team centred, selfless, dedicated, moved to change, committed to performance and, above all, dedicated to individual and team development through an inclusive supportive coaching style. And here is the big plus; a very small fish in a very big south east pond. Winning is the bi product of the coaching standard, and win they do. First year out league and cup winners, second year out played in a year above their age group finished top 3 played and qualified for international tournament in Holland, third year out currently lying second with games in hand and re qualifying for Holland. All against clubs four or five times their own size and resourcing.
Impressive by any standards; transfer that to business, anything is achievable with the right people support.

British Antarctic Record Attempt
Zest Are Proud to Announce their Sponsorship of the British Antarctic Record Attempt
Posted 23rd January 2012
As of 7:00AM (GMT) on 20th January 2012, Bryony Balen
became the youngest Britain to ski to the Geographic South Pole
from the Hercules Inlet! Overall Bryony and the team have skied 1134.9km (705miles) over
a period of 56 days. The journey took her across the planets coldest
continent, where temperatures reached as low as -45°C (-49°F)
and facing the daily struggle of high winds, white-outs, sastrugi,
and an almost permanent uphill climb!
In the last two days of the expedition the team trekked 67km,
a huge push to get there just a little sooner! Bryony told me she
would promptly sleep after the long days (and nights) skiing, followed
by a visit to the centre and the pole marker before heading back
to the Union Glacier Base (via aeroplane) at 4PM (GMT). Naturally,
she is ecstatic!
Congratulations Bryony!
And thank you everyone for the support that has helped this fantastic
feat occur!
Robert Carey, on behalf of the Polar Conqueror, Bryony Balen.
